Nearly FREE SEO (search engine optimization) solutions!

Would you like your business to be seen 1000 times at no-cost? That is the power of technology! You can be doing your usual routine while your business is continuing to increase the visibility of your products! I’ll start today’s post with defining SEO – it is the process of increasing the amount of visitors to a  website by obtaining a high-ranking placement in the search results page of a search engine (SERP). The higher a website ranks in the results of a search, the greater the chance that that site will be visited by a user.

In other words, why have a website if no one sees it? SEO ranks how it is getting seen by allowing a consumer to purchase key words (i.e. search terms) to get more visitors to your website. The process is not simple. It requires a developer to code keywords into the website and continually monitor traffic for process improvement. I hear price ranges from $200 – $1200 per month to have this service. As with any marketing technique, the price is just one factor in value. The price of the service defines the return on investment (i.e business X received Y new vistors divided the cost to calculate ROI).

The lower the service price, the higher the ROI can be! That is why I am excited about the new link brought out to my friends at www.eventbrite.com. Eventbrite was gracious enough to give the organizers our own page!  Eventbrite is an online party-planning tool with KISS (Keep it simple stupid) design so  it is usually a top rated choice among event planners (organizers). http://www.listio.com/reviews/2008/11/comparison-of-event-management-applications-eventbrite-amiando-madeit-eventsbot/ quote “Large events require promotion, and for this all of the applications offer discounted ticketing options, yet only Eventbrite has affiliate programs for cross marketing. All but MadeIt offer website integration (code) and premade buttons for links to their ticketing service, yet there is a lack of network and microblogging crossover to help promote across social networks. Amiando does have a more interactive approach – its attendee portal includes options to add photos and a wall for attendee comments – but this too only adds a page and is unlikely to promote the event.” What makes eventbrite my favorite is they help you PROMOTE. It is not just about planning a fabulous event, we have to get customers to come though the door!  Eventbrite allows you to promote events not only one their website but you can use this as a back link on your website too!

Any website that allows a subdomain (tied to your business name) can be used to increase the backlinks (and increase your SEO) for FREE! Some of our favorites –

a) Meetup.com

b) Eventbrite.com

c) Linkedin.com

d) Facebook.com (25 unique likes or more)

e) Twitter.com

f) Google/places

Once these unique URL’s are set, make sure they are added as backlinks on your website. Happy Linking!

I use Akismet. Used by millions, Akismet is quite possibly the best way in the world to protect your blog from comment and trackback spam. It keeps your site protected from spam even while you sleep.

First off I would like to say great blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing. I’ve had
a difficult time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out.
I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin.

Any ideas or hints? Appreciate it!
